Leanne graduated from York University with an Honours BA in Kinesiology and diploma in Athletic Therapy.
She has 10 years experience working as an AT in a variety of settings including traveling to the World Junior Championships in Nitra, Slovakia with the Canadian Girls U20 Ball Hockey Team in 2018.
She studied massage therapy at the Ontario College of Health and Technology and has been building her practice here at Catalyst since being registered in 2013. Leanne has built on her experiences as an AT to broaden her approach to massage therapy and provides a treatment which combines both skillsets to help her clients reach their health and fitness goals. Leanne is a registered member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association and Ontario Athletic Therapists Association.
Leanne uses a variety of techniques in her practice ranging from myofascial work, deep tissue and Soft Tissue Release techniques to lymphatic drainage, Muscle Energy Techniques, and Cranial Sacral level 1&2 techniques. Whether it’s addressing sore hips and a tight low back from sitting at work, a sore shoulder from your softball game last night or neck tension from the busyness of life, Leanne tailors her approach to meet each client’s individual needs.
When she’s not in the catalyst studio Leanne can often be found hiking with her dog Barley through the local trails, playing with her niece and nephews or heading up north to enjoy the quietness of cottage life.
