Cardio doesn’t equal fat loss. There, we said it.

Excessive cardio without strength training slowly destroys joints and connective tissue, and if you’re someone that heads to these cardio boot camps four to five times per week, you’re setting yourself up for a myriad of injuries.

Catalyst boot camps are different. Our exercises are controlled. Our circuits build strength that you can use outside of the gym. They create stability and reduce pain. From there, you can add in nutritional changes to stimulate weight loss if that’s the goal.

The media has made us believe that you need to be sweating profusely while simultaneously fighting to catch your breath for a class to be successful. We find the opposite is true. Now, we aren’t saying you won’t be working hard in our classes, but they cater to what you actually need, as opposed to what we’ve been lead to believe.

Strength brings a reduction in pain, an increase in bone and muscle health, and makes everyday life much easier.

Cardio is great for heart health and brain function.

Nutrition is what causes weight loss. Nothing else.

So instead of killing your body for three to four hours a week in a cardio boot camp class, come try one of our structured, movement-based classes for free, and let us know if you feel a more positive difference, even after just one visit.
