Anthony grew up in Hamilton, spending his time reading, playing different sports and exploring the city on his bike.
Always the “fastest kid at school”, at 16 he decided to focus on middle-distance running, where he saw early success which included winning Ontario and Canadian championships. He attended Dartmouth College in New Hampshire for two years before earning a B.Sc from the University of Guelph, where he won 2013 Male Athlete of the Year.
He competed at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in the 800m. He has also represented Canada at the World Championships, Pan Am Games and World Universiade. Anthony’s running career spanned 15 years, during which he acquired unique practical experience in human movement and performance, as well as injury prevention and rehabilitation. Anthony has been coaching since 2018, and is pursuing a degree at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton.
He wants to spend his life exploring the possibilities of human health and performance, helping people of all age groups and backgrounds achieve their movement goals, with a special interest in runners. Anthony’s favourite places to run in Hamilton are the Dundas Valley, Christie Lake, and Iroquois Heights. Outside of sport, he is a lifelong lover of Science Fiction and Fantasy; he writes stories of all kinds in his spare time.
