Alan graduated with an Honours Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from York University. He then continued his education at the University of Alberta where he completed two separate Masters degrees. He holds both research-based and clinical degrees in Rehabilitation Science and Physical Therapy.
Alan has presented his research at international conferences and has been the recipient of multiple research awards. He has pursued further post-secondary education, completing his level 1 certification in manual and manipulative physiotherapy as well as various manual therapy, sports nutrition, and strength and conditioning certifications. He is currently a member of the Clinical Athlete provider network. Alan’s approach is fueled by a unique combination of research and clinical experience and his treatment style emphasizes the integration of Strength & Conditioning principles with Physiotherapy.
Alan loves being active and participates in many different sports, allowing him to understand the needs of a diverse variety of athletes and active individuals. His passion is getting people back to the activities they love or helping them start new ones.
When not in clinic he can be found biking or running on the incredible trail system around Hamilton, drinking strong coffee out of tiny cups, or in the gym picking things up and putting them back down again.
