5 Things to Know About Bootcamps at Catalyst

classes

Fitness bootcamp classes are one of those things where reputation precedes, and not necessarily in the warm n’ fuzzy, ‘lay out the welcome mat’ sort of ways.

Let us guess: if you’re new to Catalyst and our brand of specialized bootcamp conditioning classes, visions of sweat-drenched temples, panic-stricken expressions, and maybe even lots of punished yelling could currently be filling your frame of mind.

Will it relieve you to know Catalyst’s twice-weekly bootcamp conditioning classes are nothing like that?!

(Well. They are when it comes to the sweat-drenched temples — but we insist that’s a good thing!)

group classes

Much like we retrain the body’s movement and health, let’s retrain how we think of these types of group fitness classes.

Here are five things you need to know:

BOOTCAMP CLASSES ARE TWICE WEEKLY

Join owner Bryan Smith every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7pm at our space in west Hamilton. Come in regular workout gear — no special shoes or equipment from home required. Drop-ins are $20, and class passes or unlimited monthly access are available.

BOOTCAMP CLASSES ARE ALMOST TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

Dare we say? We dare say. These classes are more like a twice-weekly personal training and movement conditioning co-op for you plus seven others.

With headcounts limited by design, Bryan’s classes allow for the most personalized, hands-on instruction a group setting can accommodate.

CATALYST BOOTCAMPERS ARE AWESOME

Sign up for a group fitness class at our ego-free, judgement-free gym and you’ll find yourself among some truly awesome peeps eager for the same things you are:

  • to round out their exercise routines,
  • benefit from the kind of momentum and energy group classes give,
  • and get that same detailed expertise and guidance otherwise found in a private personal training session with Bryan and his team.

YOU CAN DO IT. YES, YOU!

Bootcamp conditioning classes ease everyone in with warm-ups and stretches before moving thru a wide range of ever-changing exercise reps. Each switch up is demonstrated in detail before being set up, weighted, and targeted towards your own goals and capabilities.

There is no minimum — or maximum — performance level of interest here. There’s also no judgement or ego. We want you to have a great time.

IT’S ABOUT TO GET EVEN BETTER

Next month classes are about to get even better as we roll out our newly designed, open-concept conditioning turf space next door.

We can’t wait to show you what’s in store and welcome you in to give it a try.

If you’re interested in trying a bootcamp conditioning class or getting a tour of our gym for monthly membership and personal training options, reach out and let’s make it happen.
